Young Dragons Programme

Young Dragons is an exciting initiative which engages children in tabletop role-playing games – like Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) – to support their mental health, social confidence and learning. Through imaginative, story-based group play, children work together to solve problems, make decisions and build strong social connections.

The programme is designed to boost confidence, social skills and classroom engagement. Evidence shows that participating in role-playing group games can reduce anxiety and stress, improve self-esteem and help children to collaborate with their peers.

Following a successful pilot during the summer 2025 term Queen’s Park Primary School is pleased to be running the Young Dragons programme again this term.
