Attendance
There are two types of absence:
- Authorised (Where the school approves pupil absence)
- Unauthorised (Where the school does not approve the absence)
If a child is absent, parents should call the school on each day of the absence stating a reason. A note should be sent on the day the child returns to school explaining the absence.
Uniform
We require that every child wear the correct uniform on each school day. Much of the uniform (trousers/shirts/shoes) is available from local stores. However, some items are only available from the school.
Free school meals
You are strongly encouraged to apply for Free School Meals. All students attending Queen’s Park Primary School are eligible.
Parent Pay
Parent Pay is our secure online payment platform that allows parents and carers to make payments for school-related expenses conveniently. This includes school meals, trips, clubs, and uniform purchases.
Safeguarding
Queen’s Park is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its pupils. The school’s child protection policy details the procedures that the school has put in place to ensure that staff are protecting children from harm and promoting their welfare.
Medical
We ask parents to keep us informed of relevant medical needs or information. It is very important that we know information about conditions such as asthma, allergies, hearing or sight impairments, eczema, diabetes or epilepsy.
Behaviour
We aim to create a positive culture that promotes excellent behaviour, ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to learn in a calm, safe and supportive environment. If you have concerns regarding behaviour, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of staff.
