A warm welcome to our inclusive community.
At Queens Park, we celebrate the diversity within our community and are proud of our inclusive ethos. We support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, ensuring they receive the help they need to thrive. Teachers creatively use classroom resources, and interventions are planned and reviewed through our school-wide provision map. Staff are trained to provide high-quality support in every classroom.
There’s an open-door policy with the SENCO, allowing teachers and parents to collaborate on strategies and interventions. Our popular coffee mornings provide parents with support and guidance—along with a slice of cake!
We’re fortunate to have a sensory room, offering pupils a calm space to promote regulation and re-engagement. Our strong connections with external professionals ensure that any pupil needing specialist support receives the necessary interventions.
Our values encourage all pupils to respect and celebrate differences, as they grow alongside one another, building skills and values that will carry them through secondary school and beyond.

At Queen’s Park Primary School, our percentage of pupils with SEND is 37% with the most common area of need being Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). We offer a continuum of provision for pupils with SLCN, from our Targeted and Targeted Plus provision in mainstream, to The Meadow our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). A placement within this continuum is determined by the pupil’s profile of need, intervention data, professional assessments and collaboration between the SENCO and parent/carers. Our overarching aim is to provide a nurturing and inclusive setting where children can thrive, whilst ensuring opportunities to engage with their peers in mainstream learning and feel a sense of belonging in school life.
