Uniform

We require that every child wear the correct uniform on each school day. Much of the uniform (trousers/shirts/shoes) is available from local stores. However, some items are only available from the school.

Purchasing the School Uniform

The School uniform order form explains exactly what parts of the uniform are available from the school office, in what sizes, and at what cost. In order to purchase an item of uniform, please complete a uniform order form. Hand this form, together with payment, to the school office. Items of clothing will be ready for your collection the following day.

Order forms and either cash or cheque should be placed in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class, and the words ‘School Uniform Order’ clearly written on the front. Cheques should be made payable to Queen’s Park School.

Labelling Clothing

All uniform should be clearly labelled with the child’s name. In the event that clothing is mislaid, if it has a name it will be returned to the wearer. Everything else is placed into the Lost Property Box, from where many things never return!

Jewellery and Hair

Items of jewellery are unsuitable for primary school pupils to wear during the school day. Rings, necklaces, brooches, and earrings should be left at home.

A number of pupils have pierced ears. Please ensure that these pupils wear only studs to school. Earrings can be dangerous for the wearer and for other children if they catch them during physical activity, particularly P.E. and Games. Any other piercing is not permitted, e.g. nose and eyebrow.

Hair that is shoulder length or longer needs to be tied back or secured with an alice band.

Nursery Uniform

• Navy sweatshirt with school logo
• Yellow T-shirt with school logo
• Black shoes or plimsolls

Boys’ Uniform

• Grey trousers
• Navy sweatshirt with school logo
• Yellow T-shirt with school logo
• Shoes/trainers should be plain black

Girls’ Uniform

• Grey skirt/trousers
• Navy sweatshirt with school logo
• Yellow T-shirt with school logo
• Shoes/trainers should be plain black

Girls’ (Optional) Summer Uniform

Optional girls’ uniform for summer term only:

• Blue and white checked summer dresses

PE Uniform (Boys and Girls)

• White T-shirt with school logo
• Navy shorts
• Black plimsolls
• A plain-coloured navy blue tracksuit is acceptable in colder weather.

All PE kits should be in school every day. PE uniform must be in a plastic or drawstring bag (sold in school) – not large holdalls.
